Jodie Comer was back on set for her latest movie The End We Start From on Tuesday.

After shooting scenes in central London on Sunday, the production moved to the Oxfordshire countryside where Jodie and her co-star Katherine Waterston were seen shooting in a woodland.

Lead star Jodie was spotted cradling a baby for her scenes, with her young co-star a constant presence on set in recent weeks.

The actress, 29, plays a new mother caught up in the midst of devastating floods that swallow up the city of London, tearing her young family apart.

For Tuesday's shoot Jodie was back in her character's disheveled costume of turned up jeans, brown boots and a grey cardigan and grubby white shirt.

She kept the baby close to her, carrying the tot in a sling as she joked around with crew members and her co-stars between takes.

Jodie was seen sharing a hug and practicing scenes with Katherine, who was dressed in bright yellow adidas trousers.

Katherine also took her turn holding the baby, while military vehicles were also spotted parked up on set. 

The official synopsis for the film reads: 'When an environmental crisis sees London submerged by flood waters, a young family is torn apart in the chaos.'

'As a woman and her new-born try to find their way home, the profound novelty of motherhood is brought into sharp focus in this dystopian portrayal of family survival and hope.'

Speaking of her new role, Jodie said: 'My character is ordinary and extraordinary, both her very personal life and the world around her have been turned upside down and she is dealing with the unknown at every turn.

'Her story is about the quiet heroics of determination, devotion, bravery and love.'
