Revealing she'd been left with short choppy mullet, the 55-year-old musical theatre star warned her fans to not 'try and relive your youth' by getting a perm.

Yet in her hilarious clip, Ruthie said: 'This is a video with a warning - if you were born in the 80s, don't try and relive your youth and get a perm.
'Because you then fry your hair and have to have all your hair cut off. Just saying...'
