Julia Roberts revealed that she became 'instant friends' with George Clooney more than 20 years ago while they promoted their new movie on Thursday on a talk show.
The 54-year-old Oscar-winning actress and Oscar-winner George, 61, while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live were asked when they first met each other.
'The first time we met was for Ocean's Eleven,' said Julia, referencing the 2001 heist film.

George said they bonded even before filming in Las Vegas and Julia interrupted to speak on his behalf.
'Speak for me,' George said.
'I will. We became instant friends,' Julia said.

'You know, you just meet people and sometimes you think, I really don't like that person. I have no reason to like them, I don't like them, and I will never change my mind. And then there's some people,' Julia said pointing to George.
'Who you go, ok, I'm going to know this person until the end of time. This is a good one,' Julia said to applause from the studio audience in Los Angeles.
George and Julia portray exes David Cotton and Georgia Cotton in their new romantic comedy Ticket To Paradise. The Hollywood stars are also executive producers of the film directed by London native Ol Parker, 53.

Jimmy, 54, wondered how well they really knew each other and asked if they knew each other's middle names.
'That's a good question,' George said.
'Timothy,' Julia said correctly.
