Lupita Nyong'o revealed that she learned of Chadwick Boseman's death via a text message from pal Viola Davis and that she knew that she would become a meme after the shocking Will Smith slap of Chris Rock at The Oscars in a revealing interview.

She also said that she received via a text message from mutual friend Viola Davis as she described her reaction: 'I couldn’t believe it. I was paralyzed.'

Lupita described Chadwick as having 'an aura' and that he was the leader of the cast and crew 'and we were all good with it.'

She also revealed that they clashed at times and realized later that he likely kept his boundaries due to his health battle.
