Lupita Nyong'o revealed that she learned of Chadwick Boseman's death via a text message from pal Viola Davis and that she knew that she would become a meme after the shocking Will Smith slap of Chris Rock at The Oscars in a revealing interview.

She also revealed that they clashed at times and realized later that he likely kept his boundaries due to his health battle.
Lupita said: 'There were moments when Chadwick said no to me, and I was not happy with him.

She said that she once wanted Chadwick to join her and Danai Gurira in South Africa to promote their Marvel Cinematic Universe flick but he declined.
Lupita explained: 'I felt it was important to have him on the continent, as an African American coming to South Africa. I thought that was a potent symbol, and he wouldn’t go.
