Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Sheree Zampino got tearful as she opened up about an emotional conversation she had with her son Trey, who she shares with ex-husband Will Smith.

While appearing on Red Table Talk, alongside her former spouse's current wife Jada Pinkett Smith, the actress, 54, revealed her child, now 29, told her that he 'didn't feel loved' growing up.'

'One of the things that my son said to me, when he started to do the work [on forgiveness], one of the things that came up for him, he felt that he wasn't loved,' she recalled.

After telling him his father loved him, Trey responded: 'I'm not talking about him, I'm talking about you.' 

In response, she told him: 'You didn't feel loved by me?' So we had a conversation.' 

'When he was little and he would fall, or something would happen, he'd be disappointed. Because I was around so many women, I would be like you're okay,' she explained. 'I would cheer him on. Instead of just sit in that space with him, and just be there, [and say] 'How you feel? It's okay to feel.' 

Eight months ago, after lots of reflection, she acknowledged how she 'didn't care about' his feelings or even her own because she 'didn't know how.' 

'I was always rushing myself. You've gotta be stoic, you've gotta be tough, you gotta get through life, and this was him saying this,' Zampino recalled. 'I didn't have the capacity to care about his feelings because I didn't have the capacity to care about mine. I was on auto-pilot.' 

On the same episode, Pinkett Smith, 51, told the mother-of-one that she 'crossed the line' with husband Will during the early days of their relationship.

Following the end of Zampino's three-year marriage to Will, Sheree, he and Jada quickly sparked up romance rumors.
