Dermot O'Leary was awarded the Freedom of The City of London by the Lord Mayor in a ceremony in the capital on Tuesday.

The broadcaster, 49, was joined by proud wife Dee Koppang and revealed he was left a 'tiny bit teary' as he was honoured for his charitable work with the London Irish Centre.

Dermot's parents Séan and Maria emigrated to the UK from Wexford before his birth and he said he humbly accepted the award on behalf of all Irish immigrants.

Meanwhile Dee looked chic in a long brown coat which she teamed with a black polar neck sweater.
