Bruce Springsteen said he 'can't imagine' retiring.

The 73-year-old singer spoke with "Howard Stern on Monday on SiriusXM, as he promoted his new album Only the Strong Survive. 

He was asked by the shock jock, 68, if he ever had thoughts of retiring, to which he said he didn't.

'I mean, if I got to a place where I was incapacitated or something but up until then I think I'm … I mean, look at Johnny Cash, Pete Seeger,' said the singer of classics such as Cover Me, Glory Days and Dancing in the Dark.

The blue-collar icon noted how he played alongside the late Seeger (who died in 2014) in 2009 at the inauguration ceremony for former President Barack Obama at a time Seeger was 89.

'I look at those guys and go, "Yeah, I don't know if I'll be doing three-hour shows, but I have so many different kinds of music that I can play and do,"' the stalwart musical artist said. 'The Broadway show I can do for the rest of my life in one form or another if I wanted to. I can't imagine retirement, no.' 

Stern said of Springsteen's Broadway show, titled Springsteen on Broadway: 'What a show, it was so intimate.'
