As the third season of Netflix's Love Is Blind came to a close on Wednesday with a fiery reunion episode, Zanab Jaffrey opened up about her relationship to Cole Barnett.

Jaffrey was engaged to Barnett heading into the finale, though she left him at the altar and pulled no punches in the reunion episode, stating, 'You have disrespected me. You have insulted me. You have critiqued me. And, for what it is worth, you have single-handedly shattered my self confidence.'

Jaffrey, 32, revealed in a new interview with Variety that she did love Barnett, while opening up about how he tried to control what she ate, his comment that she was a '9 out of 10'... while calling two other women on the show 10's, and his insinuation that he prefers to date white women.

Jaffrey and the 27-year-old Barnett seemed to form a connection during the 'pods' segment of the show and he called her 'beautiful' when they first met.

Things began to unravel when he asked if she was 'bipolar' during a fight, while she revealed in the reunion show that he controlled her eating.

She revealed that sometimes she would only eat a, 'banana and a teaspoon of peanut butter' during an entire day of filming.

'I did love him. The things he was saying to me did hurt. I was somehow trying to make myself desirable to him, whether it be skinnier, or… I’ve never had someone speak to me that way about my body or eating,' Jaffrey said. 

'That was very real for me. I did change what I was eating. I was just eating a banana. I did lose weight by the wedding day. It had nothing to do with fitting into my wedding dress,' Jaffrey clarified.

When asked about the '9 out of 10' comment, she revealed there were more moments that didn't make the show that were just as, 'cringe-worthy.'
