Maren Morris decided to skip the red carpet at the 56th Annual CMA Awards held at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, on Wednesday.

Despite being nominated for one of the night's biggest prizes - album of the year - the country star, 32, didn't show up on the red carpet but instead appeared at the show halfway through, for her category, before leaving.

In September, Maren shared with the LA Times that she didn’t 'feel comfortable going' to the show after her very public feud with Jason Aldean‘s wife Brittany, whom she called transphobic and an 'Insurrection Barbie.'

Maren later gave her fans a peek at the plunging black sequin gown she wore to the event on her social media in a playful video.

The clip saw her walking backstage and carrying her own bottle of champagne, with Taylor Swift‘s song 'Karma' playing in the background.

'BYOB, CMA,' the Chasing After You singer captioned the post, adding a cheers emoji.

Maren and her husband Ryan Hurd reportedly arrived at the CMAs halfway through the ceremony, in time for the winner of the Album of the Year to be announced, according to People

The star's most recent album Humble Quest was nominated in the category, but she lost out to Luke Combs.

After giving Combs a standing ovation, Maren and Ryan left the event.

Meanwhile Jason, 45, and Brittany, 34, happily posed together for the shutterbugs at the event, with the blonde beauty looking sensational in a busty sequin silver gown.

In October Jason's concertgoers booed at the mere mention of Morris' name after the feud stemming from her branding his wife Brittany as transphobic.

The crooner performed in Nashville as he teased a mystery performer that would be joining him by listing names. When he mentioned Maren, he drew boos from the crowd before shrugging and acting confused.

This comes just a month after Maren and fellow country singer Cassadee Pope called out Jason's wife over allegedly transphobic comments she made on Instagram.

In a getting-ready video, the conservative activist wrote, 'I’d really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girly life.'

Cassadee, 32, took to Twitter the next day and responded with 'You’d think celebs with beauty brands would see the positives in including LGBTQ+ people in their messaging. But instead here we are, hearing someone compare their “tomboy phase” to someone wanting to transition. Real nice.'

Maren joined in with her own, 'It’s so easy to, like, not be a scumbag human? Sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie.'
