Katina Goode and Olajuwon Dickerson have announced their decision to 'part ways' one year after tying the knot on Married at First Sight. 

Goode and Dickerson's marriage was the last surviving union from season 14 of the hit Lifetime reality series. 

The pair, both 29, made their split public on Instagram Friday, posting a grim image of their announcement in generic white typeface set against a black backdrop. 

'After one year of marriage and careful thought and consideration, we have decided to part ways.' 

The former couple's joint Instagram statement went on to include the diplomatic line: 'However, this was not an easy decision to make.'

In closing, the former couple wrote: 'We leave our marriage with enormous love and respect for each other. We only ask that, at this time, our privacy is respected.'

Dickerson, a municipal wastewater operator, and Goode, a benefit calculation analyst, thrust themselves under the harsh glare of reality TV when they went on Married at First Sight. 

After fourteen seasons, the reality show has matched 54 couples, 33 of which chose to actually stay married on 'Decision Day.' 

As of July, more than half of those 33 couples have split, leaving only 13.
