'Well, let me just tell everyone it is Ally. I don't mean to bust Channel Nine's bubble.' Kyle said he has recently spoken to Karl about the switch-up. 'Maybe that was a personal chat? I don't know... But he didn't ask me not to say anything,' he continued Tracy remained coy when she addressed rumours as to who will be her replacement, saying every candidate for the job is 'an exemplary person' Channel Nine have yet to confirm who Tracy's replacement is and Kyle quite possibly could have been joking and merely trying to the long-running ACA star to reveal who the actual candidate is. 'I certainly hope Channel Nine would replace me with a dud,' she joked. 'I can't possibly give you a hint, but you'll know very soon,' she said. 'I wouldn't be surprised if you know next week.' Last week, Sandilands pressed Langdon, 43, on the breakfast show after her week-long absence. The co-host awkwardly dodged questions about her rumoured move. 'Are you doing the A Current Affair or not?' Sandilands asked. Taken aback by the question, Langdon joked in response: 'Well, I'm going to do the Today show, I'm going to do A Current Affair, I'm going to coach the Wallabies and I reckon Dan Andrews might offer me a ministry.' But Sandilands didn't back down, and continued to push for a proper answer. 'Let's stop the speculation. Are you doing A Current Affair? Just tell us!' he said. Last week, Langdon shifted uncomfortably in her seat as she refused to confirm or deny the speculation - despite Sandilands (pictured) repeatedly pushing for an answer 'Are you doing the A Current Affair or not?' Sandilands asked. Taken aback by the question, Langdon joked in response: 'Well, I'm going to do the Today show, I'm gonna do A Current Affair, I'm gonna coach the Wallabies and I reckon Dan Andrews might offer me a ministry' Langdon remained tight-lipped about her potential move to prime time, hinting she could never 'leave' Stefanovic alone on the Today show. Sandilands asked one more time, 'Are you doing it or not?' to which Langdon responded: 'No.' 'So you're not doing it?' he asked again. 'Far out!' Langdon exclaimed, which prompted Stefanovic to say: 'With all this questioning, he should be doing A Current Affair!' Langdon, who first joined Today in early 2020, is said to be keen to move to ACA because the hours are easier as a working mother. While Nine hasn't made an announcement about the new host of ACA, the network is believed to only be considering candidates from within its own ranks. Nine have yet to confirm who Tracy's replacement is and Kyle quite possibly could have been joking and merely trying to the long-running ACA star to reveal who the actual candidate is This rules out The Project host Carrie Bickmore, who is leaving Channel 10 at the end of this month and was previously linked to the high-profile role. Nine's political reporter Chris O'Keefe has also been ruled out as a candidate after it was announced on Sunday he would be moving to 2GB. If Langdon does get the ACA job, she can add her name to an illustrious list that includes broadcast titans like Ray Martin, Mike Munro and Jana Wendt. Coincidentally, her husband Mike Willesee Jr is the son of the late former ACA great Mike Willesee who hosted the program's first three seasons and, later, a further five. For A Current Affair, it will be the first new host since Grimshaw stepped in for Ray Martin in 2006. Grimshaw announced her departure from ACA in September after 17 years on air.
