A reality TV star has been sentenced in court for driving a golf buggy drunk to get a late-night servo feed.

Jordan Dowsett, 25, a contestant on this year's season of Love Island Australia, pleaded guilty at Southport Magistrate’s Court on Monday to mid-range drink driving on the Gold Coast.

Dowsett was approached by police around 3am on November 13 at the intersection of Brisbane Road and Olsen Avenue at Biggera Waters after they saw Dowsett driving a golf cart on a busy road.

In his Love Island Australia bio it mentions he moved to the Gold Coast to be 'adventurous' with mates.
