'Fake influencer' Suzan Mutesi has hit back after being accused of doctoring a photo of herself boarding a private jet.

The photo, which was taken in May, purports to show the 36-year-old posing with the aircraft as it sat 'outside' on the tarmac.

Yet, as pointed out by Instagram watchdog Influencer Updates AU this week, a closer look at the image reveals signs the aircraft was actually parked in a hangar.

Mutesi finally broke her silence on Tuesday by sharing a clip of herself sitting on the same private jet moments before takeoff.

In the clip, self-described 'award winning author' Mutesi, was seen giggling and clinking champagne glasses with MAFS star Cyrell Paule.

Apparently taking a swipe at her critics, Mutesi also included an audio clip from Cheers (Drink to That) by Rhianna, in which the pop star sings: 'Don't let the bastards get you down'.

Mutesi was able to fly on the jet as part of an influencer event held by parenting brand The Care Club Store. MAFS star Jules Robinson (pictured) also attended the event, sharing footage of herself boarding the jet inside the hangar and then later outside on the tarmac

Reality stars such as Jules Robinson and Skye Wheatley also attended the event, which was held at Palazzo Versace on the Gold Coast and sponsored by private aircraft hire company Jet Parties.

Robinson documented the trip on her own Instagram Stories, sharing footage of herself boarding the jet inside the hangar and then later outside on the tarmac.

In Robinson's video, the floor of the hangar is identical to the so-called 'tarmac' seen in Mutesi's photo

Fans immediately noticed the aircraft hangar outside the window, leaving them to question whether the aircraft was really parked on the tarmac as her previous image suggested

In Robinson's video, the floor of the hangar is identical to the so-called 'tarmac' seen in Mutesi's photo.

This is just one clue suggesting Mutesi's image does not reflect reality, as the 'sky' was also clearly Photoshopped into the background while the reflection of the hangar lights can be seen in the reflection of the plane.

In another photo taken inside the plane, the hangar was clearly visible outside the window.

It's not the first time Mutesi has been accused of doctoring photos of herself boarding an aircraft. Back in December, Mutesi was called out by watchdog account Celeb Spellcheck for clumsily editing herself into stock images of a seaplane (pictured)

Back in December, Mutesi was called out by watchdog account Celeb Spellcheck for clumsily editing herself into stock images of a seaplane.

One image, posted by Mutesi in December 2020, shows her superimposed in front of the aircraft, with her hand barely touching the side of the plane due to the sloppy editing.

Mutsei has remained mum on editing rumours

The water was noticeably blurred around Mutesi's legs, which suggests it had been smudged with an editing tool.

Celeb Spellcheck also shared another photo of a different model standing in front of a remarkably similar backdrop, in an effort to prove Mutesi's post was edited.

Fans were quick to comment on the image, with one writing, 'Honestly impressed with the photoshopping skills,' while another added: 'Wow that's a terrible job.'

'What a fail!' one wrote, while another said: 'Check out the hand on the plane.'

'This [seaplane] post was posted 12 months ago in December 2020. But I took that photo in 2019. There's nothing wrong with having a dream' Mutesi said.

'And that's what I am doing for myself and my followers,' she continued. 'Trying to inspire them to aspire and fulfil their dreams.'

Yet speaking to Daily Mail Australia at the time, Mutesi denied she'd edited her images at all, saying: 'If it was [Photoshopped], I would have no problem owning it.'

Mutesi shared another suspicious-looking photo of herself in front of a plane in September 2020, which prompted a fan to ask her: 'What app are you using to do this? Please share I need to edit a photo background hehe.'

The photo in question showed Mutesi in front of the plane next to a travel bag, which cast no shadow and was placed at an odd angle on the ground.

'It's an actual location hun! I didn't have to edit the background! The plants are really we were lucky,' Mutesi responded.

The commenter replied back: 'Huh? This photo is edited babe - you can tell haha what plants?'

Mutesi categorically denied she'd edited the photo in a lengthy statement at the time, saying: 'No it's not Photoshopped. If it was I have no problem owning it'
