And Today host Karl Stefanovic, 48, showcased his racquet skills during another gruelling session with his personal tennis trainer on Monday. 

The Nine presenter worked up a sweat as he bounded around the outdoor court, regularly wiping away perspiration using his top.

Dressing for action, Karl sported a grey singlet, black shorts and a pair of black sneakers. 

He completed his look with black crew socks and a grey baseball cap emblazoned with the Chicago Bulls logo. 

At times, Karl also revealed a glimpse at his tattoo collection by rolling up his sleeves, including the Japanese symbols he famously had inked to his shoulder while stoned at university.

Karl has only spoken briefly to the media about this tattoo, telling the Herald Sun in 2014 that he has has no idea what the Japanese writing on his arm means, admitting: 'I don't know what it means as I was stoned at uni when I got it done.' 

On his other shoulder, the Nine presenter revealed what appeared to be a series of runes, which he previously confirmed are 'good luck symbols for the kids'. 

During the match Karl was seen jumping into the air and returning several tricky serves from across the court.
