Nicole Kidman stays silent on Balenciaga - but promotes Keith Urban's tour trends now

Nicole Kidman has remained silent on the Balenciaga's BDSM-inspired child photoshoot scandal and has instead taken to Instagram to support her husband's upcoming tour.

Ignoring growing calls to to comment on the disturbing campaign, the Australian actress, 55, took to Instagram on Thursday to share a poster for husband Keith Urban's tour, urging fans to 'get a ticket for the best night ever'.

Nicole works closely with the Parisian brand, and as recently as a week ago shared photos modelling from their Spring '23 campaign.

Fans have flooded the comment section of Kidman's Instagram page with calls for her to denounce the brand or release a statement - which have so far gone unanswered.

Underneath the post, which was simply captioned with tags to Balenciaga's creative team, fans penned: 'Shame on YOU'; 'You look beautiful…and I’d drop that campaign like a hot potato.'; 'WHERE IS YOUR STATEMENT';

Another fan referenced Kim Kardashian making a statement regarding the brand as they penned: 'At least @kimkardashian has spoken out. Why the silence here?', while another quipped: 'Not me looking for clues in the background'.

Kidman, who shares daughters Sunday, 13, and Faith, 10, with husband Keith Urban and two adopted children with ex Tom Cruise was also asked how she'd feel if her children had been featured in the campaign.

She has worn Balenciaga looks on the red carpet many times, and recently walked in the Balenciaga Couture Show in Paris ahead of modelling for their 2023 campaign.

But the Kidman and her husband seem to be ignoring the controversy and continuing life as normal, sharing pictures from theatre trips and visits to New York and Maryland.

Her post about her husband's Aussie tour comes just days after Keith gushed about his wife's  incredible act of generosity after she purchased Hugh Jackman's signed hat for $150,000 ($US100,000) for charity.

Many stars who have previously worked with Balenciaga, including Bella Hadid and Dua Lipa, have been lambasted for not speaking out on the campaign.

In the shoot, the children also appeared to be surrounded by empty wine and champagne glasses, further contributing to the disturbing setting.

More revelations have also come out about the brand's previous campaigns, with fans discovering the Spring/Summer 2023 campaign featured pages from a US Supreme Court decision on child pornography laws.

In a lengthy apology statement on Monday, the fashion house took full responsibility for the teddy bear images but insisted it had no involvement in the photoshoot featuring child porn legislation.

The brand's most famous muse Kim Kardashian announced that she would not be cutting ties with the brand.

The billionaire, who has worked with the brand for several years, said that while she was 'shaken' and 'disgusted' to see the images, especially as a 'mother-of-four,' she 'believes Balenciaga understands the seriousness of the issue.'

She added that she was 're-evaluating her relationship' with the brand 'based off its willingness to accept accountability for something that should have never happened to begin with' - but many social media users were angered that she didn't condemn the fashion house further.
