Idris Elba, 50, and stunning wife Sabrina, 33, at 36th Annual Footwear News ... trends now

Each year, the Footwear News Achievement Awards, often called the 'Shoe Oscars', are held in celebration of footwear's major style stars, best brand stories, passionate philanthropists, emerging talents and industry veterans.

And on Wednesday, Idris Elba and his stunning wife Sabrina were among the A-listers to attend the 36th annual ceremony that went off at Cipriani South Street in New York.

The leading man had the honor of presenting French shoe designer Christian Louboutin with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award during the ceremony.

Though the handsome actor garnered plenty of attention, it was Sabrina who stole the show in a sexy brown see-through dress.

The skintight number showed off the activist's enviable curves and sculpted midriff.

She opted to go braless beneath the dress.

Rounding out her look, the model/actress slipped her feet into brown heels, and had her dark tresses styled long with some waves and a part in the middle.

While holding hands with his wife, Elba, 50, looked suave in a stylish black suit with white stitching along the legs, arms and lapels.

He also wore a black dress shirt with a matching tie, along with a pair of black dress shoes.

The Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom star also sported a well manicured salt-and-pepper goatee and had is hair closely cropped.

Later in the evening, Elba would hit the stage to offer some kind words about Louboutin, 59, when he presented him with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
