The Block runners-up Rachel and Ryan Carr have set the record straight on how much construction work was done off camera on the show.
The lovebirds hosted a Q&A session with their Instagram fans on Wednesday and were asked: 'How much work happens between filming and auction?'
The pair didn't mince words and responded, 'This year... heaps!' and shared a photo of their work crew posing for a snap during a well-earned break.

They also provided some interior design tips after being asked if there were strict rules to follow when decorating your house.
'One thing I learnt from The Block, back yourself. If you think it looks good don't worry about the "rules", go with your gut,' he explained.
'Do what you love and don't try to fit into the rules,' they added.
