Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield reveal staff ended up 'on the floor' ... trends now

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have detailed the This Morning team's boozy Christmas Party, revealing that not all members of the team were 'feeling alright' the following morning.

The This Morning team took to James Blunt's pub for a festive lunch on Tuesday, with various stars documenting the fun-filled event on social media.

However, things certainly livened up as the drinks flowed as the presenter's revealed on Wednesday's show that one staff member ended up on 'Alice Beer's utility room floor'. 

Making a fresh-faced appearance on the ITV show, Holly said: 'Welcome to your Wednesday This Morning' with Phil adding: 'Another festive-packed show for you today, and actually we're feeling alright.'

Holly then said: 'Not all members of the team are feeling alright this morning, let me tell you!'

And while Phil suggested 'I don't know whether we should name names', Holly decided to do so as she remarked: 'Ellie!'

'Who ended up on Alice Beer's utility room floor, with Emma, our deputy editor' added Phil. 

Giving a further insight into the party, Holly added: 'The flag was well and truly flown at the Christmas party yesterday!'

However, Phil was quick to defend the staff as he shared: 'The team have worked incredibly hard, and they did deserve a little bit of a break.' 

They went on to explain that they were at James's pub when he gatecrashed party alongside Chris Evans and they all sang carols.

The show then played a clip of Chris and everyone singing Oh Come All Ye Faithful, and after saying their singing wasn't that bad, Phil then quipped: 'it was a bit later when the wheels came off!'
