The Block's Tess and Luke Struber have opened up about a devastating family tragedy.
The Cairns couple, who won the 2019 season of the Channel Nine renovation show, announced last month their beloved dog Tilly had died.
In a joint Instagram post shared on Tuesday, Tess and Luke spoke of their grief after the passing of Tilly, who had been a member of their family for more than 10 years.

'I'm not sure if the heaviness I carry in my heart is the sadness of her being gone, or if it's the weight of her going with me wherever I go,' the pair began.
'I always write things to get my emotions out, but I've held off this time because it means she's really gone.'
'We didn't lose a dog, or our pet. We lost Tilly. The soul, the glue, the big beating heart of our family,' they added.

'The girl who made us a family. The girl who had literally zero interest in us but was dragged home by two young, twentysomething kids who fell in love with her at first sight.
