David Walliams cut a dapper figure on Friday as he did a reading at the Guide Dogs annual Christmas Concert at St Paul's Cathedral, London.

The comedian, 51 - who recently reportedly quit Britain's Got Talent -  was seen on stage at a podium as he read an excerpt from The Grinch who stole Christmas.

David teamed a navy blazer with a bight blue shirt and navy tie as he joined the likes of Sophie, Countess of Wessex at the event, which raises vital funds to help people living with sight loss live the lives they choose.

As well as musical entertainment from acts such as Carly Paoli and Classical Reflection, and the St Paul's Cathedral Choir, the concert also featured stories and festive readings from celebrity guests.

Other stars such as David Bradley, Joanna Scanlan, Ruth Jones and Lucy Edwards also reads at the event. 

Meanwhile, the Countess of Wessex looked elegant in a flared dark grey coat and coordinating flared trousers, which she teamed with a red jumper.

The Royal looked in good spirits as she greeted attendees at the event before sharing a cuddles with the adorable dogs. 

David's outing comes as he was reported to quit the ITV show ahead of its 2023 series, weeks after he was forced to apologise for describing an elderly contestant as a 'c***' and making vile sexual remarks about a woman taking part. 

The comments, made in January 2020 during auditions at the London Palladium, were picked up on the programme’s microphones and revealed last month.
