Yellowstone: Jamie Dutton moves to impeach his father Govern John Dutton trends now

Jamie Dutton shockingly announced he was moving to impeach his own father Governor John Dutton on Sunday night’s midseason finale of Yellowstone on the Paramount Network as part of his plan to take over as Governor of Montana himself.

'I have called this emergency meeting of the Assembly to address an egregious act of dereliction,' Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley), as attorney general of the state, said. 'In canceling funding for the Paradise Valley regional airport and surrounding residential, commercial and mixed communities, Governor Dutton has violated state law and his sworn oath of office to act in the best interests of the state.'

Jamie’s call for impeachment tribunal was swiftly voted on by the legislature after he explained that his father had robbed the state of billions of dollars of revenue and threatened the state with litigation and that those actions will have devastating consequences to our constituents.

At the same time, John (Kevin Costner) was appearing at a press conference alongside Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham), the Native American leader, and US Senator Lynelle Perry (Wendy Moniz-Grillo) to oppose an oil pipeline going through the Ranch and reservation land.

'Running the pipeline beneath the drinking water of an already strained and impoverished community may be progress for the owners of the pipeline, or owners of whatever runs through the pipeline or for those receiving it but it could lead to disastrous effects to the land and the people this pipeline runs beneath,' John said.

John said as governor of Montana he would use his full power to prevent the pipeline from happening. Suddenly, the news of Jamie calling for impeachment broke and reporters started scrambling to get John’s reaction. Lynelle advised him to not answer any questions but to leave.

'This moment isn’t about me and I won’t let it be,' John said to the reporters. 'The issues facing this reservation are real. Far more real than any theater being played out in Helena right now.'

John got into his car and left. When Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) learned what Jamie did she was livid and came after him.

Summer Higgins (Piper Perabo) showed Beth the videos of Jamie calling for the impeachment tribunal.

'That motherf***er,' Beth said.

Beth drove straight to Jamie’s house. He was in bed with Sarah Atwood (Dawn Olivieri).

'He’s going to fight,' Jamie said.

'I don’t doubt it,' Sarah said.

Beth started ringing his doorbell.

'Just ignore you, she will go away,' Sarah said.

'You don’t know my sister,' Jamie said.

Beth used rock to break a window to open his door.

'Get the f*** out of my house,' Jamie said, grabbing her.

'F*** you Jamie,' Beth said.

Beth smashed him in the head with the rock knocking him to the ground.

'Tomorrow you will call a press conference and you will resign from office,' Beth said. 'Do you f***ing understand me, Jamie? You will resign or I’m printing photos for the sheriff.'

'No, you are not,' Jamie said.

'How many bodies has your father put in the same spot?' Jamie said. 'Turn me in and you turn him in. Have you thought this through?'

Jamie laughed when he realized Beth hadn’t put it together.
