George R.R. Martin reveals HBO has 'shelved' some Game of Thrones spin-off shows trends now

George R.R. Martin revealed that the fate of several Game of Thrones are up in the air after the series prequel series, House of the Dragon, broke viewing records on HBO.

Days ahead of the new year, the prolific author of the acclaimed A Song of Ice and Fire fantasy series provided an update to fans about his upcoming projects with the network.

After taking 'a few days off for the holidays,' the TV producer, 74, teased that he was back 'in the salt mine, working… working on so many bloody things' that his 'head may soon explode.' 

'A couple have been shelved,' he confirmed on his blog. 'But, I would not agree that they are dead. You can take something off the shelf as easily as you can put it on the shelf.'
