Chad ‘Ocho Cinco’ Johnson and his longtime partner Sharelle Rosado are officially engaged after the retired NFL football player proposed to the Selling Tampa alumna on Saturday in Miami.
The 44-year-old NFL star, who played 11 seasons for the Cincinnati Bengals and the New England Patriots, surprised his love, 35, by getting down on one knee in the company of family and friends and presenting her with a 7 ½ carat oval diamond engagement ring.
The Dancing with the Stars competitor invited his girlfriend to what she believed was his early birthday party as he turns 45 on Monday.
As it turned out, it was not a party for him; instead, it was a surprise celebration of their engagement.

The duo has, for a long time, referred to one another as ‘fiancé’ though Johnson apparently decided it was time to officially propose with a ring to symbolize their commitment.
Rosado told the publication that making their engagement official 'is the next step of our beautiful journey together.'
She added that she was 'so emotional because when we first started dating, he used to always tell me, "I'm going to make you my wife."'
