And while both stars denied being involved in a romance, their chemistry was undeniable, whether it be in a social setting or a work project, which included the one film they starred in together, Speedway (1968).
Over the years, the These Boots Are Made For Walkin' singer and dancer did fess up to being great friends with the King of Rock n' Roll, and on Sunday, January 8, took time out to wish him a happy birthday on Twitter.

On this day, the late rock n' roll icon, who passed away at the age of 42 in August 1977, would have have turned 88-years-old.
'I'm thinking of my dear friend on his birthday and wishing he were still here to celebrate with us,' Sinatra, now 82, began in her tweet.
She added, 'This is my favorite picture of Elvis and me. It shows the fun and affection we shared. Oh, God, how I miss him.'
The photo shows Presley sitting down with his hands around Sinatra's waist, while they both are bursting out in laughter.
It appears as though the picture may have ben taken on the set of some sort of entertainment project, possibly their musical action movie Speedway.
