The actor and comedian Adam Devine shared the news with his fans on Monday that a planned Workaholics film had been scuttled shortly before it was set to begin filming.

Devine, 39, who co-created and was one of the lead actors in the original Comedy Central series, announced that Paramount+ had canceled the movie in an Instagram post.

In comically grotesque language, he lambasted the decision as the 'loosest butthole,' while adding that he was 'butt hurt' on behalf of his fans who wouldn't get to see him reunite on screen with his co-stars and co-creators Blake Anderson, 38, and Anders Holm, 41.

The Pitch Perfect: Bumper In Berlin star claimed that Paramount+ explained the decision to him and the rest of the creative team as part of it's ongoing 'global' strategy.

'Welp, Paramount + decided to cancel the Workaholics movie. Obviously, this news is the loosest butthole,' Devine began his post, adding, 'We were supposed to begin filming in 5 weeks!'

'P[aramount] + told us don’t fit their new “global” strategy…We are deeply butt hurt about this decision because we were so excited to bring the weird one last time [sic],' he continued.

Devine said he was feeling 'but hurt' because he wouldn't collaborate with his 'best friends again,' while also disappointing their fans, and he also singled out the crew and members 'who are now going to have to scramble to find new jobs.'

The actor made it clear that they would be shopping the film around to other streaming service, 'and hopefully we will get to make this insanely fun movie somewhere else.'
