The Bachelors has kicked off to a lukewarm start despite boasting three dashing leading men.

Now the costume department has come under fire with viewers criticising the contestants' dresses as tacky and outdated.

Influencer DutchMinty posted a photo on Instagram of the girls lined up in various gaudy gowns and compared them to 'Year 12 formal' dresses.  

With the ladies wearing a variety of mismatched colours and ill-fitting ensembles, DutchMinty asked: 'Bachelor(s) 2023... What in the 2013 Year 12 formal is this?' 

Meanwhile, fans of the Channel 10 show flocked to Twitter to share their own thoughts on the wardrobe selection. 

One viewer created a thread slamming the women's outfits, particularly one who had half a breast peeking out beneath an oddly crossed neckline.
