Sunny Hostin has opened up about a recent cosmetic procedure that included a breast reduction and liposuction.

The 54-year-old View co-host spoke with People about her body struggles and called the decision to go under the knife a 'health' and 'self care decision.' The two-time author told the publication she now feels like 'a better version of myself.'

Sunny arrived at the decision following years of body image battles and dealing with uncomfortable back pain.

The longtime television personality added, 'I thought I would feel shame, like, "Oh my God, I'm doing plastic surgery like all these crazy celebrities." But I don't feel shame at all,' she admitted.

The New York-raised star also noted she wants to spark a conversation about plastic surgery in an effort to destigmatize it.
