Michael Clarke and his girlfriend Jade Yarbrough were pictured having a tense conversation at their holiday home in Noosa just two days before their wild park brawl.
The couple looked frosty and distant on January 8 as they spoke by the pool during their summer vacation, where they were joined by Today host Karl Stefanovic, his wife - and Yarbrough's sister - Jasmine, as well as celebrity accountant Anthony Bell.
The photos suggest things were strained between Clarke, 41, and Yarbrough, 30, in the lead-up to their blazing late-night row on January 10.
During that confrontation, caught on camera by an onlooker, Yarbrough slapped her boyfriend's face and accused him of cheating on her with his ex Pip Edwards.

Both dressed in simple black outfits comprising T-shirts and shorts. They may have been crying, but their eyes were concealed behind sunglasses.
At one point, interior designer Yarbrough seemed upset as she grilled the former Australian cricket captain while he sat on a pool lounge.

It comes after extraordinary footage emerged of Stefanovic embroiled in a late-night heated exchange with his good friend Clarke in front of shocked onlookers in a public park.
The Today show host, 48, and the retired cricketing great clashed while holidaying together with their respective partners, sisters Jasmine and Jade Yarbrough, in Noosa, on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, on January 10.

All hell broke loose after Clarke, Stefanovic and their partners were having dinner at a beachside restaurant in Noosa with Bell.
It's understood the melee was over Clarke's ex-girlfriend, high-profile fashion designer Edwards, and recent text messages between the pair.
The dramatic footage obtained by The Daily Telegraph shows a shirtless Clarke being screamed at and slapped by his hysterical girlfriend as others in the group try to defuse the fracas.
'I'm wrong? I'm f**king wrong! You're a f**king liar. I can see everything. You called her,' Jade screams.
