Michael Clarke: Channel Nine and the ABC refuse to cover wild video trends now

Two major Australia television networks chose to ignore the biggest news story in Australia on Thursday, following Michael Clarke's wild argument with his girlfriend Jade Yarbrough.

In extraordinary footage that emerged on Wednesday night, Today show host Karl Stefanovic intervenes in a blazing row between the couple in a public park in Noosa, as Yarbrough accuses Clarke of cheating on her with his ex Pip Edwards.

The story has been lapped up by Channel Seven, almost all Australian news websites and even a handful of international outlets, including the New York Post - but there has been radio silence from Channel Nine and the ABC.

Stefanovic hosted the Today show on Thursday but remained tight-lipped about the wild footage involving him, his wife Jasmine, sister-in-law Jade and Clarke.

There was no mention of the leaked video - recorded while Stefanovic and Clarke were on holiday in Noosa with their respective partners on January 10 - at the start of the broadcast as he and co-host Sarah Abo went through the day's major headlines.

It also hasn't been mentioned on any of Nine's websites, despite being a huge traffic opportunity.

ABC News Breakfast chose not to give the footage any airtime either. The story was also absent from the ABC News channel and the public broadcaster's website.

The fracas did make the early news bulletin over on Seven's Sunrise, however, with Edwina Bartholomew giving a detailed rundown of the incident shortly after 5:30am.

While Nine's reason for ignoring the story is obvious - its golden boy Stefanovic is involved - news bosses at the ABC probably believed it was simply too low-brow for their viewers.

Stefanovic, 48, and Clarke, 41, clashed at a park in Noosa, on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, earlier this month while on holiday with their respective partners, sisters Jasmine and Jade Yarbrough.

It's understood the melee was over Clarke's ex-girlfriend Edwards, with Jade accusing the former Australian cricket captain of cheating with the P.E Nation designer.

The dramatic footage, obtained by the Daily Telegraph, shows a shirtless Clarke being screamed at and slapped by his furious girlfriend as others in the group, including Stefanovic and celebrity accountant Anthony Bell, try to defuse the fracas.

The viral video of the Noosa incident shows Yarbrough accusing Clarke of sleeping with Edwards on December 17 and messaging her to say she is the 'love of his life'.

All hell broke loose as Clarke, Stefanovic and the Yarbrough sisters were having dinner at a beachside restaurant in Noosa with accountant Anthony Bell.

The video begins with Yarbrough screaming at Clarke before she slaps him in the face and pushes him away after the cricketer insists he didn't cheated on her.

'I'm wrong? I'm f**king wrong! You're a f***ing liar. I can see everything. You called her,' she screams, apparently referring to messages between Clarke and Edwards.

Clarke then tries to reassure Yarbrough he didn't seep with Edwards on December 17, saying he was with Bell that night.

'Baby you're wrong, you're wrong,' Clarke insists. 'Baby, baby, Belly was at the house. I swear on my life, I swear on my life... That's not true, it's not true.'

He then swore on his daughter Kelsey Lee's life he did not cheat on her.

But Yarbrough refuses to believe Clarke's
