Lauren Goodger has teased a return to The Only Way Is Essex on Monday as she admitted the 'door is still open'. 

The reality star, 36, was an original cast member of the show, joining in series one and leaving after series six, with her last appearance in 2016.

The TOWIE legend has left fans excited by the potential comeback to the BAFTA winning show as she said she is 'forever grateful' for the platform it gave her.

She told The Sun: 'Is the door still open for TOWIE? Never say Never. 

'TOWIE is the show that opened so many doors for me. I will forever be grateful. So who knows, in the future I could go back.'

It comes after Lauren spoke out about her 'hellish year' after the tragic loss of her baby daughter Lorena, a bitter split with her partner and the death of her ex boyfriend.

The TV personality is looking ahead for what's to come in 2023 as she reflects on the 'massive trauma' she has been through over the past 12 months.

Speaking to MailOnline, Lauren put on a brave face as she arrived at The Inspiration Awards in London on Friday night where she said she is 'ready to come back to the industry in the right way' after a string of difficult events.

When explaining why she wanted to come to the event, Lauren said: 'It's an amazing cause, I can't wait to hear all the stories.

'I feel like I've been through a hell of a lot and I feel like it was the right one for me to go to. I've been asked to do a lot of things, I'm coming back slowly.

'I took a break and now I am ready to come back to the industry in the right way.

'I'm very new to this, like I say, I've been through massive trauma, I'm not gonna sugarcoat it but everyone knows and I feel like one day I want to inspire other women.'
