Pilot season is starting to heat up, with NBC picking up a new project from an unlikely duo: Andy Serkis and Arrowverse creator Greg Berlanti.

NBC has issued a pilot order for Wolf, which Berlanti - who received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in May - and Serkis will executive produce, based on the live of neurologist and writer Oliver Sacks, who passed away in 2015 at 82.

While it's unclear if Serkis plans on starring in the project, he has been spearheading this project since January 2018, first developing it with Fabrik Entertainment.

After the first incarnation of the project fell through, Fox issued a put pilot order for the hour-long project in November 2019 with Alex Berger (Blindspot) slated to write the pilot.

Now NBC has issued a pilot order for the one-hour medical drama, to be written by Michael Grassi (Riverdale).
