Love Island viewers 'cringe' at the girl's 'immature' football sex analogy trends now

But Love Island viewers were left 'cringing' during Tuesday's episode after the girls used an 'immature' football analogy to discuss Tanya Manhenga's intimate night with her partner Shaq Muhammad. 

Divulging the details of her nigh time escapade, the student, 24, revealed she had been 'warming up for a football match' as she avoided using sexual terms. 

Speaking to the girls on the terrace, Tanya explained: 'Last night me and Shaq basically had a... let's just call it a football warm-up.'

Olivia asked: 'Did both players get warm-ups?'

'No, just the one,' Tanya replied as Lana asked if she was 'ready to start the game.' 

'I'm not ready to start the game... but I'm liking what it's looking from where I am standing - how the pitch is looking where I'm standing,' Tanya quipped. 

Fans of the show voiced their thoughts on Twitter, with many saying they were 'cringing' and fed up of the Islander's using 'immature analogies.'  

One viewer penned: 'It annoys me that they always speak in code about sex acts on #loveisland if you're confident enough to do them on television, you should be confident enough to speak about it, right?'

'These sex analogies are jarring y’all are grown adults be for real,' another added.

A third wrote: 'This immature sex talk on love island is tooooo cringe “football warm up” what the hell?' 

Elsewhere, Zara in the show approached Tanya's partner Shaq on the daybeds where she admits that 'it would be nice to explore' something new with him. 

She says: 'I’ll be real with you, Tom is obviously ticking pretty much every box for me but it’s early still, I haven’t even spoken to you properly, it would be nice to explore.'

However, their cosy chat is awkwardly interrupted by Tanya - who is coupled up with Shaq - as she brings the airport security officer a cup of tea.

And despite seemingly in a happy couple with Tanya, Shaq tells Zara that he feels the same way and would like to get to know her.

He tells her: 'If you are actually interested in someone you owe it yourself to get to know them, you don't know what it could be on the outside. 

'On the outside you would be someone that I would go for so I do want to explore that to see the vibes', to which she says: 'Same with you.'

Shaq and Zara then bond as they talk about them both being from London as he remarks: 'You’re from London too, you just get it.'

With Zara adding: 'Same with you, we are from the same area, that’s the thing, that would just work instantly.'

Keen to be straight with Tanya, he later sits her down and make his intentions clear that he would like to get to know Zara.
