A former Love Island star told her haters to back off after she attended a wild pool party on January 26 - which she insisted wasn't an 'Australia Day party'.

Shelby 'Bilby' Mills spent her public holiday partying with mates at a lavish waterfront home on the Gold Coast, while downplaying the event as just 'drinks around a pool'.

The 29-year-old pre-empted criticism from Invasion Day activists by sharing a post on Instagram insisting she wasn't 'celebrating' anything.

'Guys... just because I'm having drinks around a pool (which I do pretty much every day) doesn't mean I'm celebrating "Australia Day/Invasion Day",' she wrote.

'All of my friends have the day off so we're having some drinks around the pool. Anyone that comes @ me with ya s**t will be blocked.'
