Blake Lively debuted a new hairstyle on Thursday, shortly after it was announced she would be starring in an adaptation of It Ends With Us.
The 35-year-old actress — who is currently expecting her fourth child with husband Ryan Reynolds, 46 — traded her usual bright blonde locks for a chocolate brunette look, in a mysterious selfie she shared to her Instagram Stories without any caption.
However, she appeared to hint that the new look was for the role, as she used the Smashing Pumpkin‘s 'Lily (My One and Only)' as the soundtrack for the pic; Lily is the name of the lead character in It Ends With Us is.

In the photo the Gossip Girl star showed off her stunning profile, with her chocolate curls gently cascading down her shoulder.
The beauty wore a classy red lipstick on her pout, and added a touch of mascara to her lashes. The mom-of-three also wore a trendy fishnet black top for the snap.
Although the star is typically blonde, she has changed up her look from time to time, previously sporting a redhead look as well as going brunette.

It Ends With Us will be Lively's first movie role in three years.
The star hasn't been seen on the big screen since 2020's The Rhythm Section, though now she's attached to this project, via Deadline.
The actress will star alongside Justin Baldoni, 39, who is also set to direct the adaptation of Colleen Hoover's 2016 novel, which earned a huge new fan base through the #BookTok TikTok community.
