EastEnders fans have been left in tears after Lola Pearce finally married Jay Brown in a beautiful ceremony on Thursday night's episode.

Wednesday night saw Lola call off the wedding due to her diagnosis of a terminal brain tumour last year.

While, everyone worried where the bride had gone, she arrived at the wedding to talk to Jay and tell him she couldn't marry him.

She said: 'I want you to know what I'm signing you up for... I'm scared. I'm gonna die and I don't like it'.

Crying Lola said: 'Think about the end, the end of my life. it's going to be hard. It could get scary, dark, painful'.

She added: 'I grew up in care, I'm used to being alone'.

But Jay told her he loves her, saying: 'I want to spend the rest of your life with you. 

'No matter how much pain and sadness, it will be worth it because of the joy you give me.'

Lola decides to go through with the wedding and the couple exchange vows and rings while their emotional friends and family look on. 

And viewers at home couldn't help but sob at the 'tragic' and 'beautiful' ceremony, taking to Twitter to voice their heartbreak.

One said: 'this lola and jay scene I'm sobbing', while another added: 'i’m already crying fs'.
