Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac is set to expand his career by taking on presenting duties for Channel Seven's long-running lifestyle program Sydney Weekender.
The TV funnyman was announced on Sunday as the new host of the popular travel show and he will be taking viewers on tours across his home state of New South Wales.
'It's such an iconic show with a passionate fan base, who love discovering the hottest spots to visit. I can't wait to take my partner and baby on some of these wild adventures,' he said in a statement.

'I'm ready to get out exploring our state, discovering the next hot holiday spot and excited about the characters I'll meet on my travels. Bring it on!' he added.
He will be replacing Sydney reporter Matt Shirvington on the show, who is leaving to focus on his news and sports reporting duties at Channel
