The 35-year-old actress, whose show How I Met Your Father is in the middle of rolling out its second season, wore a bulky black coat over a white t-shirt. She added pale blue jeans to the ensemble.
The Lizzie Maguire star carried her daughter Mae's backpack which had her name embossed on the front in bright yellow lettering.

She walked in beat up black and white sneakers, and her dyed blonde locks were parted in the middle and touched the top of her back.
Duff was spotted out with both of her daughters early in the morning: four-year-old Banks and one-year-old Mae.
Banks wore an all pink outfit while Mae tottered next to her mom as they quickly crossed the road.
Hilary also has a son, 10-year-old Luca, who was not spotted with his mom on Saturday.
