Toni Collette is spotted for the first time since announcing split from husband ... trends now

Toni Collette has been pictured in public for the first time since announcing her split from her husband-of-20-years Dave Galafassi.

The Muriel's Wedding star, 50, stepped out at Sydney Airport ahead of a flight to Italy on Saturday, appearing rather tense as she arrived at the check-in desk. 

Dressed in a black T-shirt and skinny jeans, the Australian actress cut a low-key figure as she dragged her large suitcases through the bustling terminal. 

She accessorised her jet-setting ensemble with a black satchel handbag, sneakers with neon laces, gold necklaces and a set of perfectly-polished black nails. 

Toni also went makeup-free for the long-haul flight and wore her long blonde hair in loose curls. 

Also on display were several of Toni's tattoos, including a set of symbols on both forearms and cursive lettering on her left wrist. 

After arriving at the check-in-counter, Toni was seen pulling a variety of animated expressions as she shared a conversation with an airport staff-member. 

Toni has since arrived in Italy, sharing an Instagram photo of herself tucking into a bowl of pasta before visiting the Pantheon on the anniversary of its construction. 

The thespian's trip to Italy comes one month after her split from husband Dave became public knowledge.
