Coronation Street fans were once again left shocked at Hope Dobbs' behaviour during Monday evening's episode of the soap - branding her an 'evil bully'.

The schoolgirl, played by Isabella Flanagan, was seen accusing Beth and Kirk Sunderland's dog Peanut of biting her as she came home with a bloody bite mark.

But the injury was actually created by Hope herself in an attempt to frame the dog, as she believes that he was the one who killed her chinchilla, named Cilla, and wants to get revenge.

Hope was left devastated last week when Cilla died and had her suspicions that it could have been Peanut's fault, vowing to get the pup back.

Deciding to get her own back on Peanut following her suspicions that the dog was responsible for her pet's death, Hope devised a plan during Monday's episode.

Using a stuffed ferret, Hope created a bloody bite mark on her own arm - before heading to the park where Beth (Lisa George) was walking Peanut.

The teenager then kneeled down to the dog as Beth turned away, gasping and claiming that Peanut had bit her as she held up the marked arm.

Hope returned home to deliver the fabricated story to mum Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) and stepdad Tyrone (Alan David Halsall).
