Emmerdale fans were left reeling following Tuesday night's episode, as teen Arthur Thomas nearly shared a kiss with Marshall Hamston.

In a turbulent episode, Arthur was devastated when he revealed that his LGBTQ+ assembly had been cancelled after a parent at his school made a complaint.

Reeling at the news, Marshall went to comfort Arthur before admitting he did have feelings for him, but as the pair leaned in for a kiss, he pulled away after receiving a phone call from his father.

Arthur (Alfie Clarke) was distraught when it was revealed the school had cancelled his assembly following a complaint from a parent.

His mother Laurel's boyfriend Jai (Chris Bisson) attempted to justify the decision, with the teen furiously accusing him of encouraging him to hide his sexuality.
