TOWIE's Demi Sims reveals she's been rushed to hospital trends now
Demi Sims has revealed she was rushed to hospital in the UK after falling ill with a serious disease.
The former TOWIE star, 26, told her Instagram followers on Thursday she was spending some time back home when she became unwell.
The reality star contracted Lyme disease, but after her course of antibiotics is up she said she'll be heading back to America.
Lyme disease is a bacterial infection, spread by ticks, which affects thousands of Britons every year.
Alongside a stunning selfie, Demi penned: 'I caught Lyme disease in America and I didn't know what it was until it made me very ill in the UK. Luckily I went to hospital and got treated for it before it got dangerous.

She continued: 'I've got three weeks on antibiotics to get rid of it then I'm going back!'
The condition can cause long-term symptoms, but this usually happens only if the infection isn’t treated early enough.
Demi told fans: 'It's what Bella Hadid and Justin Bieber have, they had it a lot more severe than me as it got into their nervous system, but today's the second day I feel fine!'
The reality star tried to stay active while sick by hitting the gym. Alongside a snap, she penned: 'When I tell you I've never felt so weak from being ill. Only managed a fight session'
It comes after Megan Barton-Hanson has sparked speculation that she has rekindled her romance with Demi after starring in loved-up footage with her.
Taking to her TikTok , TOWIE star Demi posted the video, writing: 'Convincing your ex to get back with you' and adding two eye emojis and a 'hehe xxx' as her caption.
Megan, 28, a Love Island star, who dated Demi in 2019 after meeting on Celebs Go Dating , grinned and posed with her in the clip, mouthing to the audio: 'It would be so awesome, it would be so cool.'

The former couple looked close, with Megan putting an arm on Demi's shoulder. It led delighted fans to ponder if the duo are back together four years on.
It comes after Megan and Demi previously discussed their romance and sexuality.
Speaking on Megan's You Come First podcast , she said that Demi had 'done a lot for her' and admitted to developing a crush on her way before they met, after watching her come out as bisexual on TOWIE.
Megan told her: 'So Demi we met on Celebs Go Dating but I don't think I've ever said this to you… I actually watched you on TOWIE.
'I saw you on TOWIE and you were so inspiring and it was amazing how open you were about your sexuality.
'I remember watching it with my mum, and obviously I knew I was a bit into girls at the point, so I loved that you represented that.
