MAFS Australia: 'Editing fail' during scene with Jesse and Claire trends now

A former Married At First Sight bride is convinced there was an 'editing fail' during an episode of the new season that aired earlier this week.

Selina Chhaur was watching the show on Tuesday when a conversation between Jesse Burford and Claire Nomarhas set alarm bells ringing.

The scene in question showed the newlyweds packing for their honeymoon in the Whitsundays.

Claire was trying to get to know her new husband by asking a series of ice-breaker questions, but Jesse repeatedly shut her down.

But Selina suggested Jesse's dismissive responses were in fact 'copied and pasted' in post-production because they didn't sound natural.

'She asked, "Do you want to whistle your favourite song?" and he was like, "Yeah, no." And then she asked another question and that "yeah, no" was the exact same,' she told Yahoo Lifestyle.

Selina also 'didn't like' how producers made Claire appear 'over the top' as she believes this was how she was portrayed at her own TV wedding last year.

The hairdresser, 34, wed swimming instructor Cody Bromley during the 2022 season, but their union didn't last.
