Gerard Pique headed out on a low-key drive with his new girlfriend Clara Chia in Barcelona on Thursday whilst his ex Shakira celebrated her 46th birthday. 

The former football player, 36, who went Instagram offical with his new love, 23, last week, was spotted in his car with the PR Student. 

He split from Shakira, 45, in June 2022 after a 12 year romance amid cheating allegations, she has since made a thinly-veiled swipe at her 'replacement' in the lyrics from her latest song.

Gerard put on a casual display, wearing a black knitted beanie with a buttoned up denim shirt as he got behind the wheel. 

Clara shielded her face with a pair of vintage-esque white framed sunglasses with her blonde hair falling in front of her face. 

She completed her look with a warm, chunky knitted scarf and also opted for an oversized denim jacket to complement Gerard's look. 

Elsewhere in the Spanish city Shakira appeared in high spirits for her celebratory day, flashing a huge smile from her home as she looked out of the balcony.

She dressed down in a pair of wide leg trousers with a racer striped side and centre zip detail, tucking a crew-neck jumper into the bottoms.

The songstress appeared to be brushing off the recent drama as she flashed a big smile during her birthday night out. 

While her lengthy caramel tresses were left to fall freely in a sleek straight style, adding a red Dolce & Gabbana baseball cap over them.

Shakira was swarmed by fans as she stepped out in the Spanish city, giving a wave to the crowds below.

The celebrity couple split in June 20222 after a 12-year romance, which came amid cheating allegations.

Shakira (born Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll) allegedly realised her ex had been unfaithful when she discovered a jar of strawberry jam had been eaten while she was away.
