SiriusXM host of The Morning Mashup, Nicole Ryan, was 'seriously injured' after being struck by a vehicle when she was riding a scooter 'earlier this week,' reported Entertainment Tonight.

A since-deleted post on the show's main Instagram page revealed the shocking news to fans: 'We've rewritten this a hundred times but there’s no easy way to say it.

'Nicole was seriously injured earlier in the week after being hit by a car while on her scooter.'

The beloved host, 40, who is also mother of two, is currently recovering, 'in the hospital nursing broken bones and a bruised ego, and will need time to heal before she returns to the Morning Mash Up.'

According to the outlet, the caption continued that in 'the meantime,' her other co-hosts, Stanley T and Ryan Sampson 'will be back live on Monday to hold down the fort until Nicole can come back.'

Followers and fans of the popular radio show were then encouraged to send their well wishes to the radio personality. 

'Make sure to reach out to Nicole on her social media, we know she’d love to hear from everybody as she recovers. Love from the Hits 1 family.' 

An additional message was shared onto the page's Instagram stories to follow up with the now-deleted post, stating, 'In case you missed our update, Nicole was injured earlier in the week and will need time to heal before returning to the Mash Up.' 

Further details or the exact location where the incident had occurred have not been revealed.  

According to People, Nicole's talent manager, Aimee Berger, also shared a message of her own on the host's own Instagram stories earlier on Friday to give an update.

She expressed to fans that, 'All messages are being relayed to her and while I may not be answering all of you directly please know...we love you.'
