Michelle Yeoh revealed that Jackie Chan was originally offered her part in Everything Everywhere All At Once.
In a recent interview with CNN, the 60-year-old performer recalled the congratulatory text she received from Chan, 68, after she took the role.
She recalled that, when the Rush Hour franchise star turned down the role due to prior work commitments, the part was rewritten for her.
Yeoh stated: 'I remember Jackie texting me and saying, "Congratulations! You know your boys came to see me first." I'm like, "Thank you bro, you did me a huge favor."'
The actress - who was recently honored at the Critics' Circle Film Awards - has been nominated for the Best Actress award at the upcoming Oscars.

Yeoh began by revealing that directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, professionally known as The Daniels, had originally written her part in Everything Everywhere All At Once for a man.
The performer also expressed that the filmmakers had written the movie's script with her in mind as the wife of Chan's prospective character.
