Daisy May Cooper has revealed her huge crush on Ben Shephard during Good Morning Britain on Monday.

The British actress, 36, appeared on the breakfast news programme to discuss her appearance on The Masked Singer over the weekend after she was revealed to be beneath the Otter costume.

But with the knowledge that Daisy has a real soft spot for the married father-of-two, 48, producers gave the star a Ben-themed set-up in the green room complete with a blanket, mug, photos, and other memorabilia which featured Ben's face.

She became overwhelmed when she arrived in the studio with the precious Ben blanket where she embraced the TV host who gave her a warm welcome and embrace.

Daisy was over the moon to be speaking to her long-term crush, and soon joined him on the sofa alongside Susanna Reid who had to move from her 'usual' seat on the couch to let the actress sit closer to Ben.

Arriving at the ITV studios to Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You, Daisy got a great big hug from Ben before they sat down to chat about her appearance as the Otter.

Ben took the opportunity to ask about a new series of Am I Being Unreasonable, but Daisy joked: 'I just got lost in your eyes!'

But she reassures him: 'It's coming back I promise you, we're currently writing it. But it's so hard because we've got to top what we did last time.'

Susanna made mention of Ben's athletic physique as the TV star keeps himself in great shape with plenty of exercise.

Daisy had no idea that Ben had once featured on the front cover of Men's Health as part of the magazine's annual Celebrity Six-Pack Challenge in 2012.

She immediately fell onto the sofa as she fawned over the ripped TV presenter as she imagined what the snap might look like while producers scrambled to get a picture ready from the archives.

They embraced a few times during her time on the programme and was delighted to talk about her time on The Masked Singer.

She told them:  'It's the best job I've ever done in my life. I can't sing, I sound awful. I thought I was going to pass out.

'This is the thing, when I got the phone call, I said yes my daughter loves the show. I told her then she cried because she was embarrassed.

'She loved [the otter] but preferred the ghost to me. And so was my son. You don't know other masked singers until they are revealed on television.

'You have a visor on so you can't see anything. It's really weird when you're doing a group rehearsal. You're thinking who is this?!'
