Christina Applegate's upcoming appearance at the 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards may be the final awards ceremony she will attend as a working actress.
'It's my last awards show as an actor probably, so it's kind of a big deal,' the Married With Child star revealed to the LA Times.
'Right now, I couldn't imagine getting up at 5 a.m. and spending 12 to 14 hours on a set; I don't have that in me at this moment.'
The actress, 51, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) while shooting the third and final season of Netflix's hit series Dead To Me in August 2021.
Her role as cynical widow Jen Harding has earned her a SAG nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series.

Though she is taking a step back from acting, Christina told the publication that she's pursuing voiceover work.
'Doing a s*** ton of voice-overs to make some cash to make sure that my daughter's fed and we're homed,' she quipped.
Dead To Me premiered premiered in 2019 and aired its final episode in November 2022.
The comedy series follows Jen (Christina) who, after losing her husband to a hit-and-run, meets fellow widower Judy Hale (Linda Cardellini) at a grief counseling session.
The duo form an unlikely friendship that leads to Jen making Judy a part of her and her children's lives.
But drama unfolds as it's revealed that Judy is harboring a dark secret that will change life as they know it.
In her conversation with the LA Times, Christina said she was 'a wreck everyday' as she filmed Dead To Me's final season while 'struggling' with her MS symptoms.
'But most of that wreck would take place in my trailer by myself,' she recalled.
Production took a five month break shortly so she could undergo the treatment she needed.
