MAFS 2023: Subtle detail in Josh's outfit criticising Melissa's sex obsession trends now

Some Married At First Sight viewers are convinced shy groom Josh White was subtly rebuking his wife Melissa Sheppard's fixation with sex and dating 'alpha males' by wearing a wrestling T-shirt on Wednesday's episode.

Josh's purple T-shirt featured an image of Randy Savage, a legend of WWE's golden era in the 1980s, whose in-ring persona was of a colourful, hyped-up 'Macho Man'.

Several fans suspected Josh wore the T-shirt because this caricature of masculinity is what his demanding wife expects of a husband.

'I love that he's wearing a "macho" T-shirt, while pouring his heart out and being a beautifully open, emotionally available man,' one viewer tweeted.

'But also, what a waste of a partnership. How gross of her [Melissa] to just thunder on and ignore everything he said. We get it, you like sex.'

Josh donned the shirt for Wednesday's confessions letter' task, during which Melissa, 41, revealed the sad reason for her obsession with sex.

The frisky divorcee's love of sex became sore point for her conservative husband on their honeymoon, with things only getting worse during the first week of them living together.

Addressing her horny antics during a 'confessions letter' task, Melissa explained she had been starved of intimacy while married to her ex-husband.

'Josh, I need to confess to you, so that you understand why I'm feeling this way, and why [sex] is important to me. My first marriage, it was a loveless and sexless marriage. So I left,' she explained.

Melissa added that physical touch was her 'love language' and she fears getting back into another passionless relationship, before assuring Josh sex with him was 'phenomenal'.
