Entrepreneur Reece Donnelly has had to withdraw from The Apprentice due to health issues.

In episode six, set to air tonight, the remaining candidates jet off to Dubai to put on a corporate away day for two international clients based there.

However, Waterloo Road actor Reece, 25, was unable to travel abroad due for health reasons and so was forced to quit the show.

Announcing his departure, he said: 'I could not continue in The Apprentice due to being unable to complete the task in Dubai for health reasons.

'My goal of being on The Apprentice was to showcase that Scotland has amazing businesses and entrepreneurs. I really hope I've done that.

'I've thoroughly enjoyed my time on the show and I'm looking forward to watching my fellow candidates in the rest of the series, I'm so grateful for my time with Lord Sugar and the team.

'I hope you all enjoy the show as much as we laughed making it. As the first Scottish candidate in over 8 years, let's do this Scotland,' he told the Daily Star

Reece is the owner of a performing arts school in Glasgow and was determined to become the first Scottish candidate to secure Lord Sugar's investment.

He says he is the youngest CEO of a further education college in the UK and says he has 'all the experience, drive, and personality' to succeed.

He admitted that he can be guilty of neglecting the grunt work, saying: 'Admin or accounting tasks aren't quite for me' but that this makes him a better leader who is able to delegate.

Ahead of entering the show, Reece wanted to prove: 'Scotland is filled with forward-thinking entrepreneurs and that we are not in fact a haggis-eating, kilt-wearing nation.

Last week, Shazia Hussain said goodbye to the process after week five saw the candidates are tasked with branding an electric motorbike and creating an advertising campaign before pitching to a panel of experts.

Firing Shazia in the boardroom Lord Sugar said: 'Shazia, I like people who admit their mistakes. The problem here is that there were so many mistakes.

'If it was one thing fair enough, overlook it, another thing, fair enough, overlook it. But there were so many mistakes. Shazia it is with regret that you're fired.'

Shazia said in the famous taxi afterwards: 'I think Lord Sugar made a mistake firing me. He's missed out on a great investment opportunity, but he's going to have to live with it.'

During the episode, Shazia was keen to put herself forward on the branding team because of her media degree where she studied modules on advertising.

This led to her becoming the sub-team leader, but not many of the suggestions made were from Shazia herself initially.

She came into more ideas when the team chose the name 'Zip Zap', as she designed the logo to feature checkered flags on the circles within the letter P.

This did not go down well with their market research findings as members of the public thought it was the letter F instead, making the name 'Zif Zaf'.

Fans of the show were quick to comment on the not-so-great result of their advertising campaign, with one writing: 'What in the GCSE Business Studies is going on here.'

Another said: 'I can't believe that Shazia is doubling down on the load of rubbish that she earlier admitted responsibility for. Wait, I absolutely can believe it.'

A third simply wrote: 'Fire all three.' Another added: 'I feel sorry for the designers, these lot come up with garbage.'

The Apprentice continues tonight at 9pm on BBC1.
