There was a big shake up on Thursday's Love Island as four islanders were sent packing in a dramatic double dumping.

Olivia Hawkins and Maxwell Samuda were voted as the least compatable couple and were then forced to pick another couple to get the boot and chose Claudia Fogarty and Keanan Brand.

The pressure was on soon after as the islanders took part in a sports day, splitting up into red and blue teams led by Will Young and Jessie Wynter.

It wasn't all fun and games however as some islanders accused others of cheating while Tom Clare wasn't happy with the other boys rubbing their victory in his face.

Elsewhere, Kai Fagan's romance with bombshell Sanam Harrinanan went from strength to strength as he told the boys they had made their relationship exclusive.

As tensions continue to simmer among the group, here's everything you missed on Love Island episode 46.

FANS PRAISE OLIVIA FOR DUMPING CLAUDIA AND KEANAN

Love Island's Olivia has won some rare praise from fans after she and Maxwell chose Claudia and Keanan to be dumped from the villa.

Olivia and Maxwell had received the news that they were heading home on Tuesday's episode, after host Maya Jama waltzed into the villa for a dumping.

But in a plot twist never before seen, the couple were then informed that they would be the ones choosing who follows them out the door.

Long been dubbed as the shows 'villain', fans could not wait to see Olivia leave the programme.

The pair then had to choose between Claudia and Keanan, Rosie and Casey and Tanya and Shaq - who also received the fewest amount of votes from the public.

And making their decision, Olivia explained how 'difficult' it had been.

She begun: 'This has been a really difficult decision. Do you keep a couple in that could potentially rebuild a flame?

'Do you keep a boy and a girl that haven't had enough time in here?

'It's been very difficult to make this decision and there's so many options we could've gone for.

'But we have decided that the islanders we are going to dump are... Keanan and Claudia.'

Taking to Twitter as the episode aired, Olivia received some rare praise from fans.

One wrote: 'Yes Liv the only thing that you have done right this whole season, goodbye Claudia'.

A second added: 'She actually made a decent decision?'

Meanwhile, other fans expressed their relief that Claudia was chosen to leave.

One fan wrote: 'We got rid of Olivia and Claudia, order is finally restored'.

'Let's be real, we all knew Olivia was going to give Claudia and Keanan the boot', a second said.

Following her exit from the villa, Claudia described the dumping as 'bittersweet'.

She said: 'It’s a bittersweet feeling considering the whole Casey situation and there wasn’t anyone else for me after that.

'I left with Keanan which was lovely and I’m excited to see my family now. It would have been nice to stay if someone came in for me but Olivia and Maxwell picking me and Keanan was the right decision, everyone else had a connection and we didn’t.

'I miss the Villa already, I woke up this morning and was like where is Samie? I miss her so much, we were literally best friends.'

Speaking about her relationship with Casey, she added: 'From the minute I went in I was drawn to Casey.

'The way he looked, the way he came across, he’s the sort of guy I’d take home to my parents. We connected really well and I definitely saw potential.

'It surprised me towards the end how he handled things because I felt like we could have worked on the outside.

'I knew as soon as we got the text, I just had a feeling, maybe it was because we were still quite new and he was a slow burner.

'My instincts told me that if anyone’s head would turn it would be Casey’s. I think he dragged it out a bit towards the end.

'I struggle to understand how you can have a connection with someone for three weeks and then all of a sudden have a connection with another girl after three days if you’re a slow burner.'

Meanwhile, Olivia gushed over her new man Maxwell, admitting she'd 'never felt this way before'.

She said: 'I am so glad I explored connections and I was there when Maxwell came in because he was definitely worth the wait!

'We’re going on a date as soon as we can. I’m so excited to meet his friends and family and he’s excited to meet mine too.

'It’s all very exciting, I’ve never felt this way about a guy before.'

Jessie and Will were both appointed captains, with the red team captained by Will and the blue team captained by Jessie.

Both teams competed in four rounds. First up was the space hopper relay, round two was the egg and spoon race.

The next round was the water balloon race, and without using their hands each team had to pass the water balloons between them and into the bucket at the end of the course.

The blue team had a tactic as one of the girls said: 'The strategy was to get the balloon and put it in Jessie's boobs.'

Sports day's fourth and final round was the inflatable surfboard race, where they each had to lay on an inflatable and paddle across the length of the swimming pool to see which team were the strongest swimmers.
